The Houston Texans have signed cornerback Bryce Hall, enhancing their roster in light of injury challenges. General manager Nick Caserio confirmed the signing on August 17 after Hall worked out with the team.
Hall, 28, has previously played for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the New York Jets. Selected 158th overall in the fifth round of the 2020 NFL Draft, he has participated in 40 games, starting 26 of them. Over his career, he has recorded 122 total tackles, amassed two interceptions, recovered one fumble, scored one defensive touchdown, and achieved half a sack.
Standing at 6-foot-1, Hall is expected to add versatility and support to the special teams, an area where the Texans aim to improve.
Injuries have plagued the Texans' secondary, with players like Tank Dell and Brevin Jordan sidelined due to various issues. Hall's arrival is timely as he looks to provide depth and experience to the team. Updates regarding the Texans' roster and injury situations are expected as the preseason continues.
