The Dallas Cowboys have agreed to a reported $6 million extension with wide receiver Ryan Flournoy, a one-year deal that would keep him under contract through the 2027 season. The agreement is expected to be signed this week, before Dallas opens its regular season against the New York Giants.

The deal removes the possibility of Flournoy entering restricted free agency after the 2026 campaign. Dallas drafted him in the sixth round in 2024. The team waived him during its first roster cuts in 2025, but he cleared waivers and later rejoined the organization on the practice squad.

That move replaced his original four-year rookie contract, leaving him with three years on the subsequent agreement and a possible restricted-free-agent season afterward. The Cowboys said Flournoy had a breakout 2025 season. The extension gives him contract years in 2026 and 2027 to keep progressing, while a longer-term deal remains possible later. Dallas has also reached a three-year extension agreement with tight end Brevyn Spann-Ford.
