Trevon Diggs has officially joined the Seattle Seahawks on a one-year contract, as reported by ESPN’s Adam Schefter. This signing marks the second cornerback addition for the Seahawks this week, following the acquisition of Terrion Arnold, who is currently facing significant legal challenges in Florida.
At 27 years old, Diggs has made a name for himself in the NFL, recording 20 interceptions and defending 63 passes throughout his career. He is anticipated to compete for a spot in the Seahawks' secondary, which is currently dealing with multiple injuries.
Previously, Diggs had a five-year contract extension worth $97 million with the Cowboys, which he signed in July 2023. However, he participated in only 22 out of 51 possible regular-season games over the following three seasons.
His time with Dallas concluded after a series of incidents, including an unusual home accident where he reported that a television fell on him, leading to a significant absence in 2025. The Cowboys eventually released Diggs after he requested to stay in the Washington, D.C. area with his family after a Christmas Day game, a request that was denied.
Shortly after being waived, he was picked up by the Green Bay Packers.
