Celina ISD's 2026 accountability report contains an unusual detail for a district rated B: none of its eight campuses earned an A.
The Texas Education Agency gave the district an overall score of 85. Four campuses earned a B and four earned a C. There are no A, D or F campuses in the district.
The top of a narrow range
Celina High School and Margie Moore Vasquez Elementary tied for the district's highest score at 89, each a B and each within striking distance of an A. Jerry and Linda Moore Middle School followed at 87.
The lowest scores belong to Marcy B. Lykins Elementary at 72, O'Dell Elementary at 76 and the Early Childhood School at 76, all C ratings.
Where the grade came from
The district scored 88 in student achievement, a B, which is the strongest part of its report.
The weaker figures sit in the other domains. School progress came in at 78 and academic growth at 78, both C ratings, and closing the gaps scored 79, also a C. In other words, Celina's students are testing reasonably well, but the district is not yet demonstrating the year-over-year improvement that would lift the overall grade.
