Construction crews are advancing work on three significant municipal projects in Celina this week, with contractors reporting new milestones at the Downtown Center, Fire Station No. 4, and The Clubhouse at Ousley Park.
At the Downtown Center, Swinerton is advancing work across the building's exterior, interior levels, basement, and roof. Exterior efforts include framing and sheathing on the fourth floor, exterior waterproofing, and installing anchors for the brick façade. Interior progress varies by level.
The basement mechanical, electrical, and plumbing work is nearing completion, with crews preparing for raised access flooring. On Level 2, raised access flooring is complete, and wall framing is underway in Zone B. Level 3 has completed underfloor mechanical, electrical, and plumbing work, with raised access flooring installation in progress in Zone B. Roof activities involve steel installation, decking, and concrete masonry unit work.
Crossland Construction is handling the Fire Station No. 4 project, focusing on interior build-out and exterior finishes. Recent completions include mechanical, electrical, and plumbing rough-ins in the living quarters, all roofing work, and interior framing in the apparatus bay.
Current tasks involve brick installation at the living quarters and apparatus bay, constructing concrete decks at the training tower, and installing overhead mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems. Sheetrock installation is also ongoing. Future work will include continued sheetrock installation, inspections for overhead systems, stone installation, and exterior glazing and door installation.
