Celina, Texas — Gas prices in the Dallas area averaged $3.8829 per gallon for regular unleaded on September 12, 2026, according to AAA, down from $3.8833 yesterday. That is up from $3.6297 a week ago but higher than $3.5513 a month ago.
The statewide average in Texas stands at $3.8549, while the national average is $4.3104. Drivers in the Dallas area are paying above the state average and below the national average.
The Dallas average remains below its AAA recorded high of $4.8370. Regular prices are about 33 cents higher than a month ago. Compared with a year ago, when the metro average was $2.9435, drivers are paying about 94 cents more per gallon.
Diesel in the Dallas area averages $5.9356 per gallon, AAA reported.
