The applicant behind Cordoba Estates is asking Celina to wait until November before taking up a development agreement for a proposed 66-lot neighborhood near future Custer Road.
The approximately 98-acre project remains on the City Council’s Tuesday, Oct. 13 agenda. But the city’s accompanying staff report says the applicant has requested that the item be tabled to the November council meeting, and staff recommends granting that request. The postponement is a recommendation, not a council decision.
That distinction matters for residents following the land-use proposal: its appearance on Tuesday’s agenda does not mean the development agreement is headed for an approval vote that evening. The council still must act on the item.
Cordoba Estates would have 66 residential lots of at least one acre each, according to the report. The site lies east of future Custer Road, about 1,800 feet north of future Ousley Boulevard. Of its approximately 98 acres, 11 are already inside Celina and 87 are in the city’s extraterritorial jurisdiction.
