Given the Extreme Heat Warning and the current feels-like temperature of 117F, it is critical to limit time spent outdoors, especially during the hottest parts of the day. Stay hydrated by drinking water frequently, even if you do not feel thirsty. Wear lightweight, light-colored clothing and seek air-conditioned environments whenever possible.

Check on elderly neighbors and those without reliable cooling, as the combination of extreme heat and poor air quality poses serious health risks. Do not leave children or pets in parked vehicles, and be aware of the signs of heat exhaustion and heat stroke.
