The momentum continued as Bell singled to left, driving in Buxton to make it 2-0. The Twins’ offensive pressure intensified in the third inning when Clemens launched a 367-foot home run to right. The blast was a three-run homer, extending the lead to 5-0 and showcasing the Twins' ability to capitalize on scoring opportunities.

Minnesota’s offense did not slow down in the fourth inning, erupting for five runs to effectively end the contest.
