Cooney to bring the Ducks within 4-2. B. Jaksa singled to shallow right later in the third, scoring Smith and narrowing the gap to 4-3.

Late Inning Action

Oregon tied the game in the fifth inning. A. Laya scored on a groundout by B. Mabeus to second, with R. Cooney and B. Jaksa reaching base as well. The score was 4-4. Jaksa grounded out to shortstop in the seventh inning, but R. Cooney scored, giving Oregon a 5-4 lead heading into the final innings.

Pitching Performances

Texas starter Riojas pitched 5.2 innings, allowing six hits and four earned runs while striking out seven. He was followed by Ethan Walker, who pitched 0.1 scoreless inning, and Brody Walls, who gave up one hit in 0.0 innings. Thomas Burns secured the win with a scoreless 1.0-inning outing, striking out two. Sam Cozart recorded the save with 2.0 scoreless innings and four strikeouts.

For Oregon, W. Sanford started, pitching 3.2 innings with six hits and four earned runs allowed, along with seven strikeouts. Tanner Bradley pitched 3.1 innings, allowing one hit and striking out five. Toby Twist contributed 0.2 innings, and Devin Bell took the loss after pitching 1.1 innings, allowing one earned run and one hit.
