Early Inning Surge

Rodriguez doubled to right in the first to score two runs, the Longhorns added four more in the bottom of the second. L. Vaughn and J. Lemm provided early support, but A. Pack Jr. and E. Mendoza drove in key runs with singles. Rodriguez then tripled to deep left center, bringing Pack Jr. and Mendoza home to extend the lead to 5-1 before Alabama could respond.
