Nate Bennett is scheduled to start for Baylor for the second straight game Saturday against Louisiana Tech, following a four-touchdown performance against Prairie View A&M. Bennett threw for 314 yards in that game but also had two interceptions.
DJ Lagway will miss the matchup because of an ankle injury. The transfer from Florida suffered the injury in Baylor’s season-opening loss to Auburn and did not play against Prairie View A&M last week. He had been listed as doubtful for the Louisiana Tech game.
Louisiana Tech will also use a different quarterback. Blake Baker, the Bulldogs’ starter, is unavailable because of a hand injury, leaving Trey Kukuk with the opening assignment. ESPN.com reported the quarterback updates.
