CELINA, Texas — Celina's biggest summer celebration returns Saturday, June 27, as Splash & Blast takes over Old Celina Park from 5 to 10 p.m. This year's event carries special significance as it celebrates both America's 250th anniversary and Celina's own Sesquicentennial — 150 years since the city's founding.

The free, family-friendly event features water slides and splash zones during daylight hours, followed by a fireworks display over Old Celina Park after dark. Food trucks, live music, and children's activities are planned throughout the evening. Parks and Recreation staff are still recruiting volunteers to help with the event.

"Celebrate America250 and Celina150 at Celina's Biggest Summer Bash," the city posted on social media, promoting the combined Independence Day and historical celebration.

The Celina150 Sesquicentennial is not a single event but a year-long series of programs and activities unfolding throughout 2026. The city officially launched the celebration earlier this year to mark 150 years since Celina's founding in 1876.

Old Celina Park is located at 12670 FM 428. Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets. More information is available at celina-tx.gov.
