Celina appoints Kyle Peck as Assistant Police Chief

The City of Celina has announced the appointment of Kyle Peck as Assistant Police Chief of the Celina Police Department. Peck succeeds former Assistant Police Chief Brent Brown, who recently left the department to serve as Police Chief for the Town of Prosper. Peck will be officially sworn in on Thursday, August 27, at 4:30 PM in the Community Room at Celina Police Headquarters.

In his new role, Peck will work alongside Police Chief John Cullison and the department’s leadership team. His responsibilities include providing executive oversight, supporting the professional development of officers and staff, strengthening community and regional partnerships, and guiding the organization as it addresses public safety needs associated with the city’s growth.

Peck joined the Celina Police Department in May 2015 as a Patrol Officer. Over more than a decade of service, he advanced through various ranks, including Patrol Sergeant, Criminal Investigations Sergeant, and Patrol Lieutenant. Most recently, he served as Lieutenant of the Support Services Division, where he provided strategic oversight of departmental programs, specialized services, administrative initiatives, policy development, and operational coordination.

Police Chief John Cullison stated that Peck has earned the respect of the department through his leadership and integrity. Cullison noted that Peck has grown alongside the organization over the past 11 years, demonstrating the ability to lead effectively in every division. Cullison expressed confidence in Peck’s ability to help lead the department into its next chapter.

Peck expressed gratitude for the opportunity to serve the community. He noted that he has had the privilege of growing within the department and working alongside colleagues committed to serving others. Peck said he looks forward to supporting Chief Cullison, investing in the department’s personnel, and ensuring the agency remains prepared to serve the community.
