A severe weather event has caused significant damage in Gunter, located approximately 9 miles north of Celina. The Grayson County Sheriff's Office reported that the storm impacted the 1000 block of Fox Lane, which is the site of the Good Shepherd RV Park and Storage facility. According to the sheriff's office, several campers and mobile homes were flipped over during the incident.

This damage is part of a broader pattern of severe weather affecting North Texas. Officials noted that multiple tornadoes, massive hail, and damaging winds have torn through the region, resulting in injuries and widespread destruction. The National Weather Service stated that the tornadoes involved ranged in severity from EF-0 to EF-2.

In neighboring areas, the impact has been severe. Authorities in Wise and Parker counties confirmed two storm-related deaths on Saturday. In Runaway Bay, Mayor Herman White reported that a deadly tornado hit the edges of the community's southwestern, western, and northern corners. Neighbors in Springtown and Runaway Bay are currently grieving the loss of two lives while beginning the process of rebuilding.

Other locations have also suffered substantial losses. In Sanger, a 45-to-50-foot hole was reported in the roof of the Walmart Distribution Center. In Bonham, wind and rain caused trees to fall on homes and power lines. In Palo Pinto County, thousands of residents were left without power. In Santo, residents described overnight flooding as devastating.

While the specific cause of the damage in Gunter is attributed to the severe weather event, details regarding the total number of injuries or the full extent of financial losses at the RV park are not yet clear. Residents are currently assessing the damage to their vehicles and properties. Experts advise that the first step after assessing damage is to contact an insurance company to begin the claims process.
