La Hacienda Ranch in Frisco, located approximately 12 miles south of Celina, anticipates a three-month closure to complete necessary repairs before reopening. The establishment was forced to shut its doors following a fire on July 27 that damaged its kitchen facilities. Management is currently focused on rebuilding the affected areas to restore operations.

In a separate development, St. David's HealthCare has announced plans to commence construction on a new hospital in Leander in 2022. The facility is scheduled to open its doors to the public in 2024, marking the first hospital in the city. The announcement regarding the project timeline was made on February 15.

Elsewhere in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, the city of Plano has initiated a project to replace nearly 3,000 feet of infrastructure along Independence Parkway. The work involves installing new screening walls, sidewalks, and alley pavement on both sides of the thoroughfare.

In the Greater Houston region, Jasper's Restaurant Group has permanently closed its location at Market Street in The Woodlands. The establishment, situated at 9595 Six Pines Drive, ceased operations following the termination of its lease. Bill Hyde, chief executive officer of Abacus Jasper’s Restaurant Group, confirmed the closure.

Additional commercial developments have been filed recently in Round Rock, Pflugerville, and Hutto. These filings include plans for a new $18 million primary school and four other commercial projects. Specific details regarding the scope and timeline of these regional construction efforts were not provided in the initial reports.
