Celina teens can turn a favorite movie scene into a sock-puppet performance Wednesday, Oct. 14, while younger children have a pumpkin-painting date to plan for the following week.
The library’s Teen Sockbuster Theater runs from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Oct. 14 at the City Council Chambers Building, 112 N. Colorado St. The program is for ages 13 and older. Participants will make a sock puppet and use it to recreate a movie scene. Spaces and supplies are limited to teens; the city asks participants to call or visit the library’s front desk to sign up.
The Pumpkin Painting Party follows Wednesday, Oct. 21, from 3 to 5 p.m. at Celina Public Library, 142 N. Ohio St. The event welcomes all ages, but the free mini-pumpkin painting offer is limited to the first 100 children. Supplies are provided. All times are Central.
