Celina ISD students return to class Wednesday, Aug. 12, the first day of the 2026-27 school year.

Who qualifies for a bus

Celina ISD provides bus transportation on two grounds.

The first is distance: students who live at least two miles from their school.

The second is safety, and it is the one families sometimes miss. Students who must travel a hazardous route, as determined under Texas Education Agency guidelines, also qualify, regardless of how close they live.

Registering, and getting answers

Bus service requires registration through the district's transportation page, which also carries the transportation procedures for parents and the rules of conduct for riders.

For any transportation question, the department's number is (469) 742-9114.

For a transportation emergency, the district asks families to call 911 rather than the department.

A growing district

Celina has been among the fastest-growing communities in North Texas, and enrollment growth is what drives route changes from one year to the next. Families who rode last year should confirm their stop rather than assume it carried over.
