Keith’s power display was the primary driver of Detroit’s scoring, contributing to a game that featured seven total home runs.

Keith’s first long ball came in the third inning, a two-run shot to right center that extended Detroit’s lead. He added a two-run homer in the seventh inning to right field and a solo home run to left field in the ninth inning to seal the win.

Scoring Breakdown

Detroit established an early advantage in the first inning when McGonigle scored on a hit-by-pitch with Keith on base. The Tigers increased their margin in the second inning when McGonigle homered to right field.

The third inning proved decisive for Detroit. Following Keith’s two-run home run, Torkelson added a solo shot to left field. The Astros responded in the same frame with back-to-back home runs. Paredes hit a two-run homer to left, followed by Altuve’s solo shot to left center.
