'Dutton Ranch,' the sequel to the popular series 'Yellowstone,' was filmed across North Texas, including locations such as Ferris, Boyd, and Fort Worth. The production took place between August 2025 and March 2026, using these towns to represent the fictional Rio Paloma in Texas.

Ferris, located about 18 miles southeast of downtown Dallas, played a significant role in the filming. The ranch landscapes featured in the show are primarily from Parker, Wise, and Johnson counties, rather than the Rio Grande Valley depicted in the storyline.

The series premiered on May 15, 2026, with a total of nine episodes airing weekly until the finale on July 3. It achieved notable success, attracting 12.9 million global viewers during its first week, marking the largest original series launch for Paramount+. The premiere also garnered 2.9 million viewers on Paramount Network, setting a record for cable series premieres since 2023.

The cast includes Kelly Reilly and Cole Hauser, along with other notable actors. The production benefited from Texas's Moving Image Industry Incentive Program, which supports film and television projects financially. Paramount+ has confirmed a second season for 'Dutton Ranch,' although a premiere date has yet to be announced.
