Nashville SC turned a one-goal match into a 4-1 victory over Austin FC with two late goals Saturday at Q2 Stadium. The visiting team led 2-0 before Austin FC cut the deficit, but Nashville SC scored again in the 88th minute and added another in first-half stoppage time.

Nashville builds an early lead

Reed Baker-Whiting opened the scoring for Nashville SC in the 30th minute, giving the visitors a 1-0 advantage. Elias Saad doubled the lead in the 67th minute, putting Nashville SC ahead 2-0.

Austin FC responded in the 76th minute. Brandon Vázquez scored to make it 2-1 and bring the home team within one goal.

Two goals settle the match

Nashville SC answered the Austin FC goal with another pair of scores. Shak Mohammed scored in the 88th minute, extending the visitors’ lead to 3-1. Hany Mukhtar then scored in the 90th minute plus one to complete Nashville SC’s four-goal performance.

The match finished with five total goals: four for Nashville SC and one for Austin FC.
