CeeDee Lamb’s 153 receiving yards helped the Dallas Cowboys answer their season-opening loss with a 37-20 victory over Washington at AT&T Stadium. Lamb caught eight passes, including a 3-yard touchdown that opened the scoring and a 24-yard score in the fourth quarter.
The latter gave Dak Prescott the 249th touchdown pass of his career, moving him past Tony Romo’s franchise record of 248, according to The Associated Press.
Prescott completed 26 passes for 279 yards and four touchdowns without an interception. Jake Ferguson caught the other two scores, from 10 and 12 yards. Ferguson also scored after rookie linebacker Jaishawn Barham forced a fumble on a screen pass early in the third quarter.
Dee Winters recovered inside Washington’s 20-yard line. Dallas did not commit a turnover, converted seven of 11 third downs and received 13 points from Brandon Aubrey, who made field goals from 25, 44 and 60 yards and all four extra points.
Washington gained 389 yards to Dallas’ 332 and ran for 182 yards. Quarterback Jayden Daniels left at halftime with a dislocated left elbow. Coach Dan Quinn said imaging found no fracture, and Marcus Mariota finished the game.
