Prosper ISD trustees are expected to vote in October on a contract for Dr. Greg Bradley after naming him the district's lone superintendent finalist. Texas law requires a 21-day waiting period before the board can take final action. The board voted unanimously Wednesday, Sept. 30, to select Bradley, who would become Prosper ISD's 20th superintendent and oversee nearly 35,000 students across 32 campuses.
Parts of Celina are served by Prosper ISD, which also has schools in portions of Frisco, McKinney and Aubrey. Bradley left Prosper ISD about 16 months ago, stepping away from the deputy superintendent's job to take the top post at Ennis ISD in May 2025.
Acting Superintendent Bill McLaughlin will remain in the role until Bradley starts, then return to his position as deputy superintendent. McLaughlin was named interim superintendent after Holly Ferguson announced her retirement in March.
The district said its search firm, Impact Education Specialists, collected input from 150 people at in-person sessions and more than 2,000 online survey respondents. Community members who responded said they wanted a leader with a fresh outlook who would keep the district's traditions intact.
Bradley first came to Prosper ISD in 2012 as Reynolds Middle School principal and later became assistant superintendent for business and operations. The district credited him with securing the Children's Health naming-rights agreement for the high school stadium and winning voter approval of a $1.337 billion bond in 2019.
