The Celina Friday Night Market sets up on the downtown square again this Friday, Oct. 9, from 6 to 9 p.m. It is free to attend.

The city-run market draws more than 60 vendors, and organizers screen each one on whether its goods are handmade, homemade or homegrown. Shoppers can expect seasonal produce, pastries, fresh eggs and free-range meats alongside handcrafted items, while downtown restaurants and food trucks serve dinner.

Singer Scotty Schaefer is October's act on the Rodeo Soccer Club Stage, which features a different local musician at each market.

A raffle with a long history

This season the market has brought back a downtown custom from the 1940s and 1950s. Back then, Saturdays on the Square drawings gave families a reason to spend the day shopping around the square, with local businesses donating prizes and crowds gathering for the drawing. The market now holds a free raffle drawing each month as part of Celina150, the town's sesquicentennial celebration.

Getting there

Cars parked on the square must be gone by 2 p.m. so vendors can set up. Because of road closures and work on downtown parking lots, organizers ask visitors to check the Life in Celina TX Facebook page for current public parking.

The Oct. 9 market is the second-to-last of the year; the final 2026 date is Nov. 6, with Blair Kudelka on stage. Vendor applications for the fall season are open on the market's website.

The market began in 2014, founded by the group Celina Ladies & Friends.
