Neither Collin County's sample ballot nor Denton County's contest list shows a Celina city race or proposition for Nov. 3, but the city's position on both sides of the county line shapes where and how residents vote.

Denton County has an early voting site at Celina Fire Station No. 3, 4400 FM 1385, listed with an Aubrey mailing address. Residents on the Collin County side should check that county's polling location list.

Collin-side ballots add four county bond questions plus Collin College's $600 million request; our earlier story covered what that bond would mean for Celina. Denton County residents will not see those items.

Whichever county they live in, residents will weigh in on the Senate seat, the governor's office and the remaining statewide offices and judgeships. Congressional and legislative districts vary by address, as do county races such as county judge.

The registration deadline is Monday, Oct. 5. Both counties open early voting Oct. 19 and close it Oct. 30; polls reopen on Nov. 3. Each county offers a sample ballot lookup on its elections website.
