Adell and Grissom lead offensive surge

The Los Angeles Angels broke the Texas Rangers' resistance with a nine-run explosion in the fifth inning, powered by two home runs from Adell and a multi-hit night from Grissom. The victory improved the Angels' record to 37-56, while the Rangers fell to .500 at 46-46.

Adell provided the initial spark in the fourth inning by homering to right field, measuring 359 feet. The blast extended the Angels' lead to 3-0, with Grissom scoring on the play. Angels pitching shuts down Rangers

Ryan Zeferjahn, Jose Fermin, and Mitch Farris each pitched one scoreless inning to close out the game. Fermin allowed one earned run in his outing.

Rangers struggles continue

MacKenzie Gore took the loss for the Rangers, giving up seven earned runs on nine hits over five innings. He struck out seven batters but struggled with control, issuing one walk. Gavin Collyer, Ben Peoples, Robby Ahlstrom, and Kyle Higashioka also pitched for Texas, combining to allow the remaining runs.

Higashioka homered to left center in the eighth inning, providing the Rangers' only run of the game. The home run measured 389 feet. Peraza and Siri added hits in the ninth inning to finalize the scoring.
