Meidroth opened the frame with a single to right, driving in Murakami to make it 2-1.
He was quickly joined by Benintendi, whose single to center plated B. Montgomery for a 3-1 advantage.
The White Sox added another run when Nimmo scored on a groundout, extending the lead to 4-2. Although the Rangers managed to score in the second inning when Cauley homered to right, they could not erase the deficit. Benintendi added an insurance run in the sixth with another single to center, bringing B. Montgomery home for the final margin.
