First Quarter Dominance
The Texas A&M Aggies established early control at Kyle Field, jumping out to a 14-0 lead before Arkansas could respond. The turning point of the opening period came when KJ Edwards broke loose for a 20-yard rushing touchdown, extending the Aggies' advantage to 14-0 after David Olano’s extra point.
Prior to that score, Carsyn Baker had opened the scoring with a 2-yard run, giving Texas A&M an early 7-0 cushion.
Arkansas managed to get on the board late in the first quarter when KJ Jackson connected with Chris Marshall on a 26-yard pass. The touchdown cut the deficit to 14-7, but it would be the only time the Razorbacks would threaten significantly in the opening frame.
Second Quarter Extension
Texas A&M refused to let Arkansas regain momentum, adding another touchdown just before halftime. Marcel Reed punched it in from one yard out, pushing the lead to 21-7. Olano successfully converted the kick, making it 21-7 at the half.
The Aggies added to their lead with a long field goal attempt. David Olano drilled a 57-yard kick, increasing Texas A&M’s advantage to 24-7 heading into the locker rooms. The Razorbacks were unable to mount any offensive drives during the second quarter, leaving them trailing by double digits as they prepared for the second half.
Third Quarter Sealing
Texas A&M continued its dominance in the third quarter, putting the game out of reach early. KJ Edwards added his second touchdown of the day on a 3-yard run, extending the score to 31-7. The Aggies' defense held firm, preventing any Arkansas scoring opportunities and maintaining their comfortable lead.
Final Quarter Conclusion
In the fourth quarter, Texas A&M capped its performance with another field goal. David Olano kicked a 50-yard field goal, bringing the final score to 34-7. The Razorbacks were unable to respond, finishing with just seven points on the day.
KJ Edwards led the Aggies' ground game with 11 carries for 66 yards and two touchdowns. Marcel Reed contributed significantly through the air, completing 13 of 19 passes for 170 yards. Kiotti Armstrong was a key target, hauling in one reception for 54 yards.
