Baylor football has unveiled its initial depth chart for the 2026 season in anticipation of the opening game against Auburn. The chart includes a total of 25 players across various positions, highlighting key roles for the upcoming matchup.
DJ Lagway is designated as the starting quarterback, with Nate Bennett, Edward Griffin, and Quinn Murphy serving as backups. Dawson Pendergrass is set to lead the running back position, supported by Caden Knighten, Michael Turner, Ryelan Morris, and Jacorey Watson.
The wide receiver lineup features Louis Brown IV and either Dre'lon Miller or Jadon Porter as starters, while Gavin Freeman is positioned as the starting slot receiver.
On the defensive side, the Bears have Kyler Jordan or Jordan Mack at defensive end, and Devonte Tezino or Kamren Washington at defensive tackle. The linebacker core includes Travion Barnes at MIKE, Kyland Reed at WILL, and either Ryan Davis or Garrick Ponder at JACK.
The secondary will see Devon Jordan and LeVar Thornton Jr. as cornerbacks, supported by Colby McCalister or Tyler Turner at free safety.
