The Houston Texans announced the addition of running back Deuce Vaughn to their roster. Vaughn, who is 5 feet 5 inches tall and weighs 185 pounds, was previously on the practice squad of the Denver Broncos throughout the 2025 season. He joined the Broncos in September of the prior year and re-signed with them on a reserve/future contract in January, but was released in May.

After his departure, Vaughn played for the Orlando Storm in the UFL before rejoining the NFL with the Texans.

In a corresponding move, the Texans waived wide receiver Juwann Winfree, who also had a stint with the Broncos. Additionally, the Texans held workouts with former Denver receiver Josh Reynolds and running back Blake Watson.

According to the NFL's transaction wire, four other former Broncos practice squad players remain available as free agents after their contracts expired in February, including quarterback Ben DiNucci, tight ends Marcedes Lewis and Patrick Murtagh, and defensive back Delarrin Turner-Yell. Defensive lineman Jonathan Harris has recently worked out for the Minnesota Vikings.

No further information was provided regarding Vaughn's potential role with the Texans or Winfree's future plans.
