The Houston Texans have officially re-signed tight end Louis Hansen, marking his return to the team after he was initially signed in June and subsequently waived in late July. No additional roster changes were needed to facilitate his rejoining.
Hansen, who was not selected in the April draft, has a collegiate background from both the University of Michigan and the University of Connecticut. During his time in college football, he achieved 46 receptions, totaling 463 yards and scoring four touchdowns over the course of 40 games.
The current tight end lineup for the Texans also features Dalton Schultz, Foster Moreau, second-round draft choice Marlin Klein, Cade Stover, Brevin Jordan, and Layne Pryor. Details about Hansen's specific role within the team have yet to be disclosed.
