SMU has added fifth-year guard Oziyah Sellers to its men’s basketball roster, the school announced. Sellers is enrolled and practicing with the Mustangs as he awaits a ruling on whether he can play. The announcement did not include a timeline for that decision.
Sellers started 36 games for St. John’s in 2025-26, averaging 10.3 points, 2.7 rebounds and 1.6 assists. The Red Storm went 30-7 and won the Big East championship. Before that, Sellers started every game for Stanford in 2024-25 and scored 13.7 points per game in the ACC. He spent his first two college seasons at USC under SMU coach Andy Enfield.
Sellers has converted 37.8% of his career three-point tries, including 42.9% during his sophomore season at USC, his best single-season mark. He has made 86.9% of his free throws. SMU is entering its third season under Enfield and the 2026-27 season with a transfer class ranked 21st nationally by On3.
