Improvements in his quickness and route-running have been observed, yet the Texans are prioritizing his complete recovery over immediate needs at the wide receiver position.
Before his injury, Dell had a significant impact on the team, achieving 98 receptions totaling 1,376 yards and scoring 10 touchdowns during his first two seasons. His ability to stretch the field and create opportunities for other receivers is something the Texans are eager to restore as they navigate the early part of the season without him.
With Dell sidelined, other players such as Boutte and Noel will have the chance to step up and develop chemistry with quarterback C.J. Stroud.
