George Pickens has officially moved from the Pittsburgh Steelers to the Dallas Cowboys, as confirmed by former Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin. In a recent interview on The Rich Eisen Show, Tomlin shared that the decision was primarily influenced by Pickens' personal development rather than his athletic performance.

Tomlin recognized Pickens' potential to excel but expressed worries about his growth in crucial intangible aspects. He remarked that a lucrative second contract requires more than just strong statistics, highlighting the importance of maturity and leadership qualities.

Additionally, ESPN insider Dan Graziano pointed out that other teams showed little interest in signing Pickens when the Cowboys placed a non-exclusive franchise tag on him. This has led to speculation that franchises are waiting to see if he can evolve into a more prominent leader. Tomlin noted, "A second contract didn't happen for us with George.

But that doesn't necessarily mean that he's not gonna be a spectacular player," indicating that while the Steelers had doubts about Pickens' readiness, the Cowboys may have a more optimistic outlook on his future.
