Noah Brown, a former wide receiver with the Dallas Cowboys, has officially signed with the Las Vegas Raiders, as announced by the team on Sunday. This addition enhances the Raiders' receiving corps, resulting in the release of defensive tackle Benito Jones to accommodate the new roster spot.
Throughout his career, Brown has faced difficulties, particularly due to injuries that kept him out for 19 games during his time with the Washington Commanders. When healthy, he has demonstrated his potential, amassing 40 receptions for 536 yards and one touchdown, averaging 13.4 yards per catch.
Originally drafted by the Cowboys in the seventh round of the 2017 NFL Draft after his college career at Ohio State, Brown became known for his reliability. He had a notable 2022 season with Dallas, catching 43 passes for 555 yards and three touchdowns.
Following his tenure with the Cowboys, he played for the Houston Texans, where he recorded 33 receptions for 567 yards and two touchdowns, averaging 17.2 yards per reception.
While the Raiders do not expect Brown to be the centerpiece of their offense, his size and experience may provide significant support to their receiving rotation. This signing offers Brown a renewed opportunity to advance his NFL career after dealing with injuries in Washington.
