The Dallas Cowboys and New Orleans Saints have each been fined $500,000 by the NFL due to incidents during a joint practice session. This decision follows a series of fights that occurred during the practice, which was marked by a high level of physicality and reportedly included more than ten altercations.

In a recent practice, a scuffle broke out involving Cowboys tight end Jake Ferguson and linebacker DeMarvion Overshown, triggered by Ferguson's response to a tackle. Ferguson threw the ball at Overshown, but the situation was quickly de-escalated. Earlier in the week, Cowboys edge rusher Donovan Ezeiruaku was ejected after throwing a punch, marking his second ejection during training camp.

Head coach Brian Schottenheimer expressed his disappointment over the fights, noting that they hindered the team's practice efforts. He stressed the need for players to concentrate on their training, indicating that the team aims to focus on preparation rather than conflicts.

With the joint practices now behind them, the Cowboys are gearing up for their preseason matchup against the Arizona Cardinals on Saturday night. No further updates on player conditions or strategies were shared.
