The Dallas Cowboys have officially completed their roster cuts, reducing their team from 91 players to the mandated 53 in preparation for the 2026 NFL season. This decision comes as the team gears up for their upcoming season opener in East Rutherford, while also working to finalize their practice squad.

Head coach Brian Schottenheimer described the roster cut process as particularly difficult this year, highlighting the depth and talent within the team. The Cowboys' initial roster features three quarterbacks, three running backs, six wide receivers, and a variety of players across defensive and special teams positions.

The roster breakdown includes Dak Prescott, Joe Milton, and Sam Howell at quarterback; Javonte Williams, Malik Davis, and Hunter Luepke at running back; and six wide receivers, including CeeDee Lamb and George Pickens.

Additionally, the team has designated several players for injured reserve or the physically unable to perform list, such as linebacker Marist Liufau and cornerback Devin Moore, as they continue to prepare for the season ahead.
