Dallas safety Jalen Thompson is expected to miss at least four weeks with a hamstring injury, executive vice president Stephen Jones said Monday. The Cowboys have not announced whether Thompson will be placed on injured reserve, although he is considered a possible candidate for the list.
Thompson was hurt in the second quarter of Dallas’ 34-31 loss to the Ravens in Rio de Janeiro on Sunday. His injury further reduces the Cowboys’ options at safety. Malik Hooker has missed the last two games because of a forearm injury, while P.J. Locke went on injured reserve Saturday with a foot injury.
Before leaving Sunday’s game, Thompson played every defensive snap through Dallas’ first nine-plus quarters of the season. He had 17 tackles during that span.
