Angela Stanford is rejoining TCU's women's golf program as an assistant coach after a decorated playing career with the Horned Frogs. Stanford is from Saginaw, about 15 miles from Fort Worth.
She played for TCU from 1996 through 2000 and earned All-American honors four times. No other player in program history has received that honor four times. Stanford also owns TCU's record with 10 victories.
Head coach Ravaioli-Larkin said the program was delighted to have Stanford return and identified her as TCU's third coach. The coach also pointed to Stanford's background as a major champion and her work leading the U.S. Solheim Cup team. Stanford's hiring followed her recent stint as captain of the U.S. team at the Solheim Cup. TCU did not provide additional information about Stanford's duties.
