Celina man arrested after neighbor shot in Tarpan Trail dispute

Celina police arrested a man on Sunday evening following a violent dispute between two neighbors in the 300 block of Tarpan Trail. The incident resulted in one resident being shot multiple times.

According to the city's announcement, the Celina Fire Department and Celina Police Department responded swiftly to the scene. The victim received critical care and was transported to a local hospital. While medical personnel treated the injured party, police officers secured the area and gathered information that led to the arrest of the suspect.

Jason-Glenn Bishop, a 38-year-old white male, was booked into the Collin County Detention Facility on Sunday night. He faces five counts of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon, a second-degree felony. The Collin County Sheriff’s Office website reports that Bishop’s bond has been set at $380,000.

The victim remains hospitalized and is expected to recover from the multiple gunshot wounds. The Criminal Investigation Division of the Celina Police Department is continuing its investigation into the crime. Officials stated that no further information may be released at this time.
