The Celina Fire Department is highlighting its Community Outreach Program, which is designed to connect residents with firefighters while promoting fire and life safety across Celina.
The department said its outreach work extends beyond emergency response through education, community events, public safety initiatives and opportunities for residents to learn more about fire services. The program’s stated purposes include promoting fire and life safety education, increasing awareness of Fire Department services, building positive relationships with residents, encouraging emergency preparedness and community resilience, and inspiring future firefighters and public safety professionals.
Programs and opportunities listed by the department include the Citizens Fire Academy, Community Emergency Response Team, known as CERT, Fire Station Open Houses, Fire Santa, the Fire Department Honor Guard, school and community safety presentations, and other public safety education and emergency preparedness initiatives.
