Collin County expanded its dining landscape significantly during the summer months, with numerous new food and beverage establishments opening their doors between June and August. These additions span multiple municipalities, including Allen, Celina, Frisco, McKinney, and Plano, offering a variety of cuisines and concepts for local residents.
In Allen, The Melting Pot began operations on Aug. 10. The chain, which has locations in 33 states, serves fondue, entrees, salads, and desserts at its new location on Watters Creek Boulevard.
Celina welcomed two new coffee-focused businesses. A 1418 Coffee location opened in late July at 565 S. Preston Road, offering coffee and pastries. Additionally, Ramble Coffee House became the first business to open in the Ramble residential community north of Celina on June 27, located at 2287 N. Preston Road.
LSA Burger Co. also joined the local scene on Aug. 13, adding a third location to its existing spots in Denton and The Colony. The new Celina branch on W. Walnut Street serves burgers, salads, chili, and sides.
Frisco saw the arrival of two new eateries on Aug. 22. Momo2Go, located on Preston Road, serves halal Himalayan food, including momos, Szechuan dishes, and vegetarian entrees. Trung Nguyên E-Coffee, situated on Prestmont Place, specializes in Vietnamese coffee, particularly using the slow-drip phin brewing method.
McKinney added two distinct dining options in the summer. Cafe Brazil opened on June 27 on N. Central Expressway, offering a classic menu of specialties and various coffees. Kumbhakarna, a fine-dining restaurant specializing in authentic North and South Indian cuisine, began serving biryanis and pulavs on July 17 at its location on S. Custer Road.
