Celina, Texas — Gas prices in the Dallas area averaged $3.9611 per gallon for regular unleaded on October 3, 2026, according to AAA, down from $3.9774 yesterday. That is up from $3.8811 a week ago but higher than $3.6723 a month ago.
The statewide average in Texas stands at $3.9255, while the national average is $4.3807. Drivers in the Dallas area are paying above the state average and below the national average.
The Dallas average remains below its AAA recorded high of $4.8370. Regular prices are about 29 cents higher than a month ago. Compared with a year ago, when the metro average was $2.9313, drivers are paying about 103 cents more per gallon.
Diesel in the Dallas area averages $5.7324 per gallon, AAA reported.
