The Dallas Cowboys are set to commence their 2026 training camp in Oxnard, California, with players reporting on July 27 and the first fan-accessible practices starting on July 29. This marks the 20th year that the Cowboys have held their training camp in Oxnard.

Head coach Brian Schottenheimer, who is entering his second season, will hold an opening press conference on July 29 alongside owner Jerry Jones and executive vice president Stephen Jones. The camp will kick off with the annual Back Together Saturday event on August 1, and practices will remain free and open to the public until August 18.

A major focus for the Cowboys this camp is their defense, which struggled last season, allowing an average of 30 points per game, the worst in the league. New defensive coordinator Christian Parker is implementing a 3-4 scheme, and reports suggest that as many as seven new starters may be featured on defense.

In contrast, the offense remains mostly unchanged, having averaged 27.7 points per game last season, providing Schottenheimer with a stable group as the defense undergoes its transformation.
